About your heart

Cardiac MR

This test studies the heart in great detail.

The magnetic resonance scan studies the heart in great detail. The patient is required to lie still in the scanner.  No radiation is involved.  The structure of the heart is studied at rest and under “stress” if needed.  The “stress” is induced by a chemical given in a similar way to a stress echo.
